Our Biggest Problems

Isaiah 59:1: Behold, the LORD*S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

2 Corinthians 5:20: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ*s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Unbelievers are completely separated from the best blessings of God. Unless they repent and come to faith in Him, it is going to get much worse for them. They will be separated from His best blessings during their lives on earth and separated from ANY AND ALL of His blessings and subjected to His judgment forever. When we believers foolishly sin and do not repent of it, we are separated from His best blessings during our lifetimes and we subject ourselves to His chastening. While there is no condemnation for us there will be chastening. The more often we sin and have to repent, the more we go from the high points of blessings to the low points of chastening. We don*t have to go up to blessings and down to grievousness nearly as much as we do and that will happen if we live like unbelievers.

Romans 8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Hebrews 12:6: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

James 4:17: Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

This is talking about believers. Unbelievers do not even know good from evil. They are blind to the differences. They have rejected what little they know about good.

Isaiah 5:20: Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Jeremiah 17:5: Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; . . .

2 Timothy 3:13: But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

They will be less and less able to know the difference between good and evil and they will know less and less about their own desperate condition. It is happening to individuals all around us, and to a great extent, even to believers. They don*t even recognize the good chastening of the Lord for what it is. The biggest problem for unbelievers is eternal separation from their Creator and the biggest problem for believers is the chastening of their Creator. Which problem do you have?
